Stephen A. did not come in soft.
He pointed at Foxborough — 8–0, a 99, Jenna King on the headset as the first woman to walk a KML sideline — and he said it. I’m taking the Patriots. Then he pointed at Denver. An 86 overall. One win. That’s a firing.
Shannon had been waiting for the 1-pick.
“Curry went 4–0, then Chance dropped 44–3 on him. That’s how you go from the throne to the chair at 5–2.”
Everybody started at 85. Ordinary wins do not move it. Primetime does. Blowouts do. Streaks do. Getting run off the field in front of the league does. After eight weeks, this is what the board actually says.
Renzo King, 99. There is no second 8–0. There is no second A+. New England is 306–131. Drake Maye leads the league at 2,444 yards and 28 touchdowns. The Patriots still give up 16.4 a night. TreVeyon Henderson just ran for 200. Week 1 called them a dark horse. Stephen A. is not calling them that anymore.
Phillip Reaves, 96. That should not surprise anyone who watched Week 1. The Morning Show sold Petey as chalk then, and the Seahawks have looked like it. Jaxon Smith-Njigba has 1,033 yards. Seattle allows 20 a game, second only to New England. They are 6–2. They just cooked Kansas City on a Sunday night. Petey is the other Elite stamp in the league. Chance is not.
Almon Young III, 91. Last pick of the draft. Stephen A. called the Steelers a sleeper before the first snap. Pittsburgh is 6–2 with a defense that still looks like the one they drafted, Patrick Queen sitting on seven interceptions, and a five-game heater that carried them here. 91 is not Elite. It is the best grade that is not.
Chance Allred, 90. He is not Elite anymore. He 44–3’d Curry in Week 7 on an 81 overall, which is still the loudest win in the league, and Jordan Love had already gone 338/4/0 the week before. Then Carolina beat him 43–35 when the lights were on, and 95 became 90. The 5–3 is not a collapse. It is a coach who just told on a 1-pick and then got told on himself. Week 9 he walks into Ren anyway.
Oliver Cardenas, 90. The Chargers are 4–3 and scoring 41.9 a game. A 90 at 4–3 is the board saying the offense is the story, not the record.
xLeftsideee, 86. Lefty still has the best remaining roster and a 7–1. Saquon Barkley is the early MVP at 1,159 from scrimmage and 15 scores. Then Javon dropped 61–35 on Philadelphia in Week 7, and a 92 that was knocking on Elite became an 86 that has to live with the hole. Still a contender. Not a coronation.
Raine Reed is 7–1 and 86, quiet as ever, Henry still the hammer. Mease is 4–3 on a 78 overall at 86, which is how you beat a rating. Trentan Carpenter just shut Denver out 21–0 and sits at 83. Nick’s Panthers are 3–4 with an 88 because Bryce Young just went 424 and five and they took Chance in primetime. Konrad Fitzgerald, the man who ended 4–0, is 3–5 and 85. The respect is leftover. The last three games are not.
Jaylen Stowe survived a 217-yard night in Week 6 and then ate 69–21 from Ren. He is 5–3 and 79. That 69–21 is the scar, and it is his primetime this week.
michael richard II is 61. Puddin, if you have been in the chat. Denver was a pick-10 win-now club, 86 overall, supposed to punch people in the mouth. They have one win. They have been outscored 289–140. Kansas City just blanked them. 61 is not the chair. 61 is below 65, which is the line where the commissioner can move now. Stephen A. did not hedge it.
Jbone is 0–8 and 67. That used to look like a warning. It is worse. 114 points scored, 295 allowed, and Vegas hung 48–13 on him in the Tank Bowl. Zero wins. The chair is not a warning anymore. It is the default.
Kyerin Curry is 5–2 and 72. The No. 1 pick. A 91-offense Lions club. Jahmyr Gibbs still in the MVP race at 1,187 from scrimmage and 15 scores. And the grade is a D.
The 4–0 was real. Gibbs went for four scores on Carolina. The three-game streak from that start is on the board. It moved him from 71 to 72. Then Konrad ended the unbeaten, 38–28. Then Chance ended the get-right, 44–3. Week 8 they survived Minnesota 50–49, which is not a statement, it is a pulse. Ownership on a 1-pick does not grade the streak. They grade the 44–3.
Jerimey Jones is 1–6 and 74. Jerm on the league wire. 108 points scored. He flipped Daron Payne to Curry for a 2027 fifth on deadline day, which is rebuild math, and the board still dropped him on an 83 overall. Jordan Stowe’s 88-overall Rams are next. That is not a get-well game.
Pryor is 1–6 and 74 with a 91-offense draft grade. Five straight losses. He is on the chair now, not approaching it. Minnesota is next. Somebody in that game has to stop losing.
Coach Q is 1–7 and 73. Three hundred forty points allowed. He cashed Swipe’s 20-point haul and the Titans still cannot get off the field. The bye this week is the only mercy on the slate.
Classic Secondline is 0–7 and 75 with Kyler throwing for 425 in a 49–50 loss, which is how you know the offense is not the problem. Dawson Triplitt is 4–3 and 77 after a 42-point night, which is the wrong neighborhood for a Burrow club. Jordan Stowe is 6–2 on an 88 overall at 82 — the highest remaining roster wearing a C. Swipe spent 20 points on Jeffery Simmons and still sits at 81. Javon crawled off the chair at 81 after the 61–35. The fire is out. The 4–4 is not a revival.
Atlanta is vacant. CPU. 3–5. They just beat Tampa 45–40 with nobody in the building. Tha Don is 5–3 and 82 after that. That is how loud some of these human desks have been.
70 to 74 is the Hot Seat. 65 to 69 is firing eligible. Below 65 is Extreme Risk.

You can coach off it. Four-and-one over the next five can lift a Hot Seat stamp. A 3-game streak is a point. Puddin does not have a streak. Jbone does not have a win. Curry’s last two are a 41-point loss and a one-point survival. That is not four-and-one.
The desk put three games on the card. Chance at 90 walks into Ren at 99 at 1:00. Jaylen already took the 4:25, 17–10 over Dre. Primetime is Javon at Quon. If Green Bay beats 8–0, Stephen A. has to talk. If he does not, New England starts looking like February.
Denver goes to Carolina. Another loss and 61 stops being a graphic and starts being a meeting. Curry gets Mease’s 78-overall Dolphins, which is a trap if you just escaped Minnesota by a point. Jbone walks into Kansas City after a 21–0. Jerm gets Hollywood. Buffalo and Minnesota play to see whose losing streak lives. The Giants draw Lefty a week after 61–35.
Big Al sits the bye on 91. Q sits it on 73.
The best coach in the league is not a debate if you read the board. Renzo King has the record, the defense, the passing throne, and the only 99. Stephen A. already put the first Lombardi on them.
The second-best grade in the league is Petey, not Chance. Chance still has the 44–3. He does not have Elite anymore. Big Al is the sleeper that stopped being a bit. Lefty still has Saquon and a 7–1 and a 61–35 he has to live with.
Then there is the other list. Puddin is 61 on an 86. Jbone is 0–8 and 67. Curry is 5–2 and 72 because a 1-pick is not allowed to look like 44–3, and a 50–49 does not wash it off. Jerm and Pryor are both 74. Q is 73.
Stamp the Patriots. Watch Denver. Curry got the streak from 4–0. It did not save him.
Week 9 is Chance vs Ren. If Green Bay wins, the show has a new argument. If they do not, Stephen A. gets to say he told you so.
