The regular year has one Sunday left. Sixteen games. None of them are in the book.
The field is already loud enough to preview.
Renzo King is 13–3 in Foxborough with a 99 and the plus-241. Chance Allred is 13–3 in Green Bay with a 96 and five straight. Those are the 1-seeds if they cash Week 18. Everybody else is playing for a seed, a plane ticket, or a stay of execution.
Seven in. Four division seats. Three wild cards. One-seed bye. Then 2-vs-7, 3-vs-6, 4-vs-5.

Quon has a game in hand. If New England slips and Indianapolis beats Jacksonville, the 1-seed argument leaves Foxborough. Herbert’s Chargers are the last in as an 8–8. Jgold’s Browns are 7–9 and play Cincinnati. If Oli dies in Denver and Cleveland cashes, the 7-seed becomes a coin.

Jaylen at 12–4 as a 5-seed is the crime on the graphic. The Bears have a better record than Tampa, Philadelphia’s wild-card math, and half the AFC field. They still go on the road because Chance won the North. Detroit is the 7 with the MVP and an 83. Swipe is 10–6 in Arizona. Jerm is 9–7 with five straight and needs chaos.
These are the ones the desk cares about.
Miami at New England. Ren vs Mease. A Patriots win is 14–3 and the 1-seed. A Patriots loss gives Quon a runway.
Detroit at Green Bay. Chance vs Curry. 1-seed on one sideline. The 44–3 rematch on the other. If Curry wins, Green Bay is 13–4 and the Lions lock 12–5. If Chance wins, he sits the wild-card round and Curry’s 11–6 still has to hold off Swipe.
Seattle at the Rams. Petey vs Jordan Stowe. NFC West. The 2-seed. A Seahawks win jumbles the 2 and the 6.
San Francisco at Arizona. Swipe’s 20-point window. Win and stay alive. Lose and the Simmons haul becomes an offseason argument.
Pittsburgh at Baltimore. Big Al vs Raine. The AFC North in January clothing. This is a 2-seed, a 3-seed, and a 6-seed in one building.
Las Vegas at Kansas City. Da Truth’s five-game heater walks into Trent. The 2 and the 5 can swap personalities in three hours.
Chargers at Denver. Oli vs Puddin. The last AFC ticket. Cleveland is watching from Cincinnati. Puddin is 60. This is a playoff game for one desk and a last snap for the other.
Tampa at New Orleans. Dre vs Slap. The South is 10–6. If Tampa dies and the bubble hits, the 4-seed gets messy. Chicago is already 12–4 and lurking.
The rest of the card still prints: Jacksonville at Indianapolis is Quon’s 13–3. Dallas at Washington is Jerm’s six-game. Chicago at Minnesota should be Jaylen cashing. Philadelphia at the Giants should be Lefty cashing. Jets at Buffalo is two desks that already lost the year.
AFC wild-card weekend is mean.
Bye: Ren. Foxborough waits. 2 vs 7: Trent vs Oli. Mahomes at 43 and 11 versus Herbert’s 4,472 on an 8–8. 3 vs 6: Big Al vs Raine. AFC North, first round, no excuses. 4 vs 5: Quon vs Da Truth. Stingiest defense in the league versus a five-game Raiders heater and the Rookie of the Year.
NFC wild-card weekend is louder.
Bye: Chance. Green Bay waits — if he beats Curry. 2 vs 7: Jordan Stowe vs Curry. 565 points versus the MVP. The 7-seed is 83 and still wearing Week 7. 3 vs 6: Lefty vs Petey. Saquon versus JSN. Pressured 82 versus Elite 94. 4 vs 5: Tha Don vs Jaylen. A 10–6 hosts a 12–4. That is the game the league will argue if Chicago loses it.
Swipe is the hunted man in the NFC. Ten-and-six after a 20-for-10. Arizona is not a freebie. If Detroit wins in Green Bay, the door slams anyway.
Oli is the hunted man in the AFC. Eight-and-eight, Stable 91, still the loudest offense that might not get a second Sunday.
Curry is hunted by Chance. The 44–3 rematch is the game. An 11–5 with Gibbs and an 83 is a 7-seed, not a job story.
Lock Foxborough if you think 590–349 was the year. Lock Green Bay if you think 44–3 was the year. Fade both if you think Quon’s 318 or Jaylen’s 12–4 is about to become a first-round problem.
The hardware article already stamped Gibbs. This one stamps the building. New England and Green Bay have the byes if they finish it. Everybody else has to win a Sunday that still is not in the book.
Play the 1-seeds. Watch Detroit. If Curry wins in Green Bay, the 44–3 and the bracket explode on the same night.
